Microsoft Excel CRM — For Teams Already in Microsoft 365
Most B2B teams in Turkey, Germany, and Europe live in Excel, not Sheets. TeknoVesta integrates with Excel Online via Microsoft Graph API for live two-way sync, plus full desktop Excel import/export for offline workflows.
Understanding the Problem
For Microsoft 365 teams, Excel is the spreadsheet — finance, operations, and analysts all default to it. TeknoVesta's Excel integration covers both modes: Excel Online (browser-based) gets live two-way sync via Microsoft Graph API with OAuth, just like Google Sheets. Desktop Excel users get one-click export to .xlsx and import via drag-drop or scheduled folder watching. Mixed teams (some online, some desktop) handled uniformly.
Core Modules
Excel Online Live Sync
Same OAuth flow as OneDrive — connect Microsoft account, CRM views export to Excel Online, two-way sync via Microsoft Graph API. Edit in browser, CRM updates in seconds.
Desktop Excel Export
One-click export of any CRM view to .xlsx file. Includes formatting, column widths, and CRM IDs hidden in metadata for round-trip import.
Desktop Excel Import
Drag-drop .xlsx file into CRM. System reads file, maps columns to CRM fields, imports rows as new records or updates existing.
Scheduled Folder Sync
Point CRM to a SharePoint or OneDrive folder. Any .xlsx file dropped there is auto-imported on a schedule (every 15 min / hourly / daily).
KVKK & GDPR Compliance
OAuth tokens encrypted in EU region. Excel Online files reside in user's Microsoft account. Desktop imports processed in-region; no third-party cloud transit.
How It Works
Connect Microsoft 365 (Online)
For Excel Online: same OAuth as OneDrive. Sign in, authorize, ready.
Export to Excel Online or .xlsx
Open any CRM list view. Choose "Export to Excel Online" (live sync) or "Download .xlsx" (one-time).
Work in Excel
Add pivot tables, charts, custom formulas. Edit values. Excel Online: changes sync to CRM in seconds. Desktop: edits stay local until re-import.
Sync or Re-Import
Online: automatic two-way sync. Desktop: drag-drop edited .xlsx back into CRM for batch update.
Scheduled Imports (Optional)
For desktop workflows, configure folder watching: drop .xlsx in a designated SharePoint folder, CRM auto-imports on schedule.
Key Benefits
Microsoft-Native Workflow
For Microsoft 365 teams, Excel feels natural. No platform switching, no parallel tools. Excel + CRM, one workflow.
Online & Desktop Both Supported
Mixed teams handled. Power users on Excel desktop with macros; collaborators on Excel Online; CRM unifies all of them.
European Data Residency
Microsoft 365 EU data centers + TeknoVesta EU infrastructure = full European data residency for spreadsheet-based workflows.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this require Microsoft 365 paid?
For Excel Online live sync, yes — Excel Online is part of Microsoft 365. For desktop Excel import/export, no — any version of Excel that opens .xlsx files works (Excel 2010+, free Excel viewers, even LibreOffice).
What about Excel macros and VBA?
Desktop Excel macros work normally; they run locally on the user's machine. CRM only reads cell values on import, not VBA code. Macros and pivot tables are preserved during sync.
Can I sync the same data to both Excel and Google Sheets?
Yes. CRM data can flow to multiple downstream spreadsheets simultaneously. Some users prefer Excel, others Sheets — both stay in sync with CRM as the source of truth.
